Herb Alpert Hollywood Bowl Concert reviews
Left a little to be desired.
It was a great show overall. Michael Franti was fantastic and engaged everyone, even the children in the audience, when he performed his hit song, (Say Hey) I Love You. Herb Alpert also performed well. As a long time fan, I felt he lacked his usual passion. There was no familiar banter, mostly just the expected songs. However, he surprised us with a series of medleys from his debut album, Inside Wants Out, and finally performed Comfortable live. This was my 7th time seeing him live, and it was the first time he played that song. While that was the highlight of my night, looking back, it seems like he wasn't fully invested in the performance.
